! Amtrak provides soap, washcloths, plus hand and bath towels. Amtrak may offer amenity kits with shampoo and other such things, but at this point, it is on select trains such as the Auto Train.
Can I bring food on Amtrak?
You may bring your own food and beverages onboard for consumption at your seat or private Sleeping Car accommodations
. However, you can only consume food and beverages purchased in Dining and Lounge Cars in those cars. Personal food and beverages are allowed in the upper level of Superliner Sightseer Lounges.
Can you sleep on Amtrak coach seats?

Can I bring liquor on Amtrak?

Yes, you can absolutely bring alcohol onto an Amtrak train as long as it remains unopened
. Feel free to pack any bottles of alcohol safely and securely inside your allotted amount of luggage. Each passenger is allowed two 25-pound personal items and two 50-pound carry-on items on board.
Can you drink alcohol on Amtrak?
Amtrak sells alcoholic beverages on its trains, but if you’re particularly partial to a specific wine, beer or liquor, you’re permitted to board with the drink and consume it during your trip. You can’t, however, consume your own alcohol in public areas of the train.

Do they turn the lights off on Amtrak?

. Passenger cars transfer power from one to the next via cables, sometimes these cables come undone during travel, which could cause the loss of electricity. Once the train stops, the crew can reconnect the line, and all will be well.
Does Amtrak provide pillows and blankets?
On overnights, Amtrak provides a pillow, but bring a small blanket
; the car gets chilly, even in summer. Bring a face cloth, too; you’ll get tired of using paper towels. If you decide to spring for a sleeper car, don’t feel you need the deluxe accommodations (even though they have their own bathroom).
Can you take a blanket on Amtrak?
Any luggage you bring on board needs to be in your custody, stored in overhead racks, under seats, or in designated baggage areas.
Travel necessities like pillows, blankets, computer cases or medical devices are allowed
