Dispersed (road-side) Camping
Throughout the Lincoln National Forest you are allowed to do what is called ‘dispersed camping'
. This is a rustic experience where you are allowed to drive up to 300′ off of an open public road onto USFS lands to park and camp.

and there are many nice sites to choose from.
Can you camp anywhere in the woods in New Hampshire?

Lincoln National Forest is reporting the Bailey Fire is 90 percent contained as of Saturday morning. The fire was discovered about 5:20 p.m. Friday in Bailey Canyon, about 2.5 miles from Cloudcroft.
Where is Bluff Springs NM?
Bluff Springs is a 40-foot-high falls in the
Lincoln National Forest, near Cloudcroft
. If you want to visit this waterfall yourself, you can drive right to the trailhead. From the parking area, it's an easy hike to the falls. Just cross the footbridge and follow the trail.
