Backpacks are not permitted at Citi Field
, however other bags such as purses, diaper bags that are not backpack-style, tote, drawstring, fully clear backpack-style bags with no obscured inner pockets and messenger style bags along with small soft-sided coolers are still permitted.
Why are backpacks not allowed in stadiums?
The NFL doesn’t allow any sort of backpacks, large purses, or other large bags at any of their stadiums or sporting events. This is
mostly for the safety of everybody in the stadium, and it also speeds up the process of letting people enter the stadium so they can get seated and enjoy the game
