I usually fill the old holes with something like
JB Weld or epoxy steel
, and poke steel wool in the hole as well. It’s important to fill the holes completely with some sort of hard filler, do so by poking the epoxy and wool in with a small probe such as a tiny drill bit.
Can you mount skis in the same holes?
Just screw them on
. If it pulls out, handling it is no different than if the original mount pulled (plugs, machinable epoxy, helicoil, etc.). don’t crossthread though, make sure the screws are going back in as they came out… back it out a little til it “drops” in place, then tighten down.
