Reptile sand is generally calcium carbonate, which will impact water chemistry by increasing the gH and kH.
I wouldn’t recommend using it unless you’re intentionally trying to alter the chemistry
– use Petco’s inert aquarium sand instead, it’s cheap as hell for a small bag and you won’t need much to fill a 10g tank.
