How do I upload a certificate to my Teach account?
Once you click on the Get My Certificate and/or Submit It To Teach button, you will see the screen below. Select
Submit My Certificate to TEACH
. This will resubmit your certificate to TEACH. Allow up to a week for your workshop to appear on your TEACH account.

Your
Professional Certificate is valid indefinitely
so long as you maintain the professional development (PD) standards of the New York State Department of Education during each five-year block. This includes completing 175 hours of PD every five years.

Who needs a TEACH account?
If
a teacher, leader or other certified school personnel applied for certification on or after July 1, 2006
, the person will have a TEACH account and a user ID and password to access their TEACH account.
How do I find my teaching ID number?
If you don't know what your teacher reference number (TRN) is, this can usually be found
on your payslip or teachers' pension documentation
. You can also contact the teacher qualifications help desk to request your number. You'll need to provide your full name, date of birth and National Insurance number.
How many Ctle hours do I need in NY?
You must collect
100 CTLE hours in each five-year cycle
. The five-year cycle begins when you register with the New York State Education Department after receiving your professional teaching certificate or your Level III teaching assistant certificate, so individual deadlines will vary.
What do we call a female teacher?
Most
