The Getaway House is actually
a series of many houses, or rather, tiny cabins in locations just outside of some of the biggest cities in the USA
. Essentially, you can think of this as a simplified, streamlined glamping experience.
What is the getaway house?
Getaway offers the experience of a
tiny home in nature
as an escape from the burdens of modern life. Cabins are designed with wood, glass and some metal, but forgo plastics and composites. The company suggests guests unplug from all modes of technology so they can unwind.
Where are the getaway houses located?
As only one of two Getaway House locations on the West Coast, the Getaway House Log Angeles is located about 2 hours East of the city near Big Bear. Technically, the cabins are situated in a town called
Running Springs
which is about 30 minutes from Big Bear Lake and about the same distance from Lake Arrowhead.
Is Getaway House refundable?
In the event of cancellation of a fully paid booking, there is a cancellation charge corresponding to the number of days it was made, prior to the day of arrival: At
least 15 days prior = no cancellation charge
(full refund). 8-14 days prior = cancellation charge equals 50% of the total booking amount (partial refund).
How many cabins does getaway have?
There will be
32 two-person cabins and eight four-person cabins for guests
. Guests can get early access to bookings starting today and Getaway Hill Country will be open for guests in spring 2020. Rates start at $99 per night for the Getaway Cabins.
What should I bring to my getaway house?

- Toiletries (you can skip shampoo, conditioner and soap)

How much does it cost to build a tiny house?

that is stocked with organic and biodegradable shampoo, conditioner, and body wash by Pharmacopia. Bath towels are also provided. Enjoy your tiny spot in nature—each cabin includes a fire pit, grilling grate and outdoor picnic table and chairs.
Can you bring a cat to Getaway House?
