What is the difference between Ember Mug and Ember mug 2?
The new Ember Mug 2 has an

. Instead of just 1 hour of battery life you get 1.5 hours (or 80 minutes on the 40 oz size). It’s not a gigantic change but it gives you an extra half an hour to drink your coffee while in a meeting or while on the go and often that’s all you really need.
Does Ember Mug heat while charging?
Yes, the Ember Mug will continue to heat drinks while charging
. As long as the battery is below the regulated max temperature it’ll both charge and heat your drink at the same time. Charging will be slower than if you were charging it whilst it was of.
How do I charge my Ember coffee mug?
Once your Ember Mug has an empty battery,
place the mug on the charging coaster for approximately 2 hours for a full charge
. Once the LED turns green your Ember is 100% charged.
How do I know if my Ember travel mug is charging?
- SOLID RED – Ember has low battery and will be unable to maintain the set temperature.

To power OFF your Ember,
press and hold the Ember logo for 3 seconds until the display shows “OFF?” then tap the logo to confirm

Do I need to turn my Ember Mug off?
The Ember Mug is pretty smart and generally speaking
you don’t actually NEED to turn it off
. When it doesn’t have any liquid in it and you’re not using it then it’ll go into a sleep mode where hardly any power is used. When you pick up your cup it’ll detect the motion and turn itself back on.
Why is my Ember Mug red?
Pulsing Red
You Ember Mug will pulse red when it’s plugged into it’s charging coaster and is charging
. This means you mug isn’t fully charged but it’s on it’s way there and soon enough you’ll see a solid green light indicating your Ember Mug is fully charged.
How long should my Ember hold a charge?
It really depends on the temperate at which you want your hot beverage to stay within the Ember Mug. I have mine set at 60°C (140°F) and a fully charged mug will hold that for
20-25 minutes
. Dropping the temperature to 50°C (122°F) pushes the hold time out into the 40-50 minute range.
Can you wash Ember Mug?
Hand wash your mug with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge
. After washing, dry your mug off completely before placing on the charger. *Hand wash only. Do not use the dishwasher to clean your Ember Mug or Ember Mug2.
Why is my Ember light white?
The Ember ceramic mug has an LED light to help communicate what is happening in various states! Primarily, the LED will breath a white light
when the liquid content is either cooling down or heating up to your unique temperature
.
How do I know if my Ember Mug is off?
To power the Ember OFF, press and hold the power button located on the bottom of the Ember Mug for 4-5 seconds until the LED fades to OFF. You can confirm the Ember is fully powered OFF by
giving it a light shake
. If the Ember is still ON, the LED will illuminate when it detects movement.
Why is the heater off on my Ember Mug?
Make Sure Liquid Isn’t Too Cold
If you drink is below 100oF (38oC) then the Ember Mug will not heat. It won’t turn the heater on at all and this is a common reason Ember Mugs don’t heat room temperature drinks. Ember Mugs are designed to keep drinks hot, they aren’t designed to heat up cold drinks.
Is Ember battery replaceable?
No, Ember does NOT offer replacement batteries for sale for their mugs
. You cannot buy replacement batteries for the Ember Mug and you can’t replace the battery yourself without breaking the mug.
How do I turn off Ember Mug?
Power ON – Press the power button located on the bottom of the Ember Mug or Ember Mug2. You will see the LED illuminate a white light. Power OFF –
Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds until the LED dims to an OFF state
