There are few budget accommodations or hostels in or near Masai Mara. We slept at the Mara Explorers Camp just outside the park for 40 USD per night. We did this in a tent with a real bed.

You can also camp here with your own tent for 10 USD per person or sleep in a dorm for 15 USD per person.
