Can you change pedals on spin bikes?
To replace your pedals, you’ll need
a spanner and an adjustable wrench
. Once you’ve removed the old pedals, put the new pedal at a 90-degree angle, apply pressure, and twist to tighten with the other hand. For the right pedal, continue to screw the pedal bolt clockwise with the spanner.
Can you use MTB pedals on spin bike?

Cleats come in two types: for road bikes and mountain bikes (left image). Mountain bike cleats recess into the shoe; convenient for frequent dismounts and walking around. Road bike cleats attach to the bottom of your shoe.

if you have spin shoes with the SPD cleat on them, you can bring them and clip in to the hotel bike that way.

SPD cleats use two bolts to fix to the shoe, so they’re often called ‘two-bolt cleats’. SPD-SL cleats have three points of attachment to the shoe, so they are also called ‘three-bolt cleats’. Can I use SPD-SL cleats on Peloton?
So, if you are serious about riding a peloton, you should invest in an SPD-SL or Look shoe and cleat.
You can always use the shoe that comes with Peloton
, but many riders prefer to use their own shoe, one that they can ride outdoors with too.
What kind of pedals does Peloton use?
All Peloton consumer bikes come with
Look Delta pedals
installed. If you need to purchase cleats (the gadget that goes on the bottom of your bike shoes to clip into the bike) to go with the bike, you want to purchase 3-bolt Look Delta Cleats.

It is also important to note that most cleats are specific to the manufacturer. For example, Shimano SPD-SL cleats are based on the Look system but
Shimano cleats are not compatible with Look pedals
and vice versa.
Can I put Look Delta cleats on Shimano shoes?
