there. Depending on how interesting you find the place, you could be fed up after no hour or enjoy a couple mor ehours there. We love the place, easily 3 hours or more.

Is Harlech Castle dog friendly?

Dogs are more than welcome in the grounds although they can not walk on the top areas of the castle for safety reasons

, however you can stroll along the small section castle walls high path for a whistle stop tour (although if you have a small pooch with you, be prepared to carry them in parts where the wooden slats are a tad wide apart for little paws)!

There is free parking at Portmeirion including a dedicated disabled car park area closer to the entrance.
We kindly ask all cars to park neatly and for motorhomes and larger vehicles to park in the very top tier of the car park

This walk takes you from Porthmadog to the delightful Italian style village of Portmeirion on the other side of the estuary of the Afon Glaslyn
. It’s a lovely area with the estuary full of birds such as Oystercatchers, redshanks and curlews are common and, in summer, there are flocks of sandwich terns.
