don't worry about using the 36V lead with a 24V motor since the lead will be at 28-30V all the time you are using it anyway . using a 36V lifepo4 pack continuously will overheat these motors from what dogman says.

How fast does a 24V electric bike go?

Top speed 13 mph . If you pedaled above 14, the motor would shut off. The motor was nice for hills.

Can I use a 36V controller with a 24V motor?

You can use a controller rated for 36V on a 24V system, but you need to make sure it doesn't have an LVC or that it is already set low enough for your 24V pack (or you have to alter or defeat it, and then use something else to monitor your pack for LVC).

What is the difference between 24V and 36V motor?

Which Is Better 24V Or 36V? As a general rule, 36V is better than 24V because a 36V electric bike battery can produce more power (Watt-hour) than a 24V battery. Thus, a 36V battery can help an climb up hills easier than a 24 Volt battery. The 24V and 36V batteries can both perform well on flat roads.

Is 24V faster than 12V?

Is 24V faster than 12V? Yes. Power wheels with 24V batteries can reach a maximum speed of 6 mph while those with 12V batteries can reach up to 6mph .

Can I use a 36v battery with a 48V motor?

Re: 48V motor and 36V battery

Doesn't matter what motor you pick, just create an A setup at 48v and a B setup with all the same stuff except at 36v and compare the curves . Thanks Amberwolf, for the confirmation that it will work and I am not too crazy..

How fast can a 250 watt bike go?

How Fast Can A 250W Electric Bike Go? It is approx 20 mph , a 250-watt electric bike can goes 20 mph (32.19 km/h) on flat ground.

Will a 12V battery power a 36V motor?

If you are talking DC motor then putting 12V into a 36V motor just makes it go slow with less torque . No harm done, unless having less torque means that the motor sits there stalled because it hasn't enough power to turn it's load yet there may be enough current flowing to overheat one armature winding.

Can you run a 36V motor on 12V?

Whereas if you are using an electric steer motor, then lower volts won't be a good idea to use for the same. Therefore, its not suggested to run a 36V trolling motor on 24V or the 24V trolling motor on 12V as it will burn up .

Can I run a 48V motor on 36V?

Re: Using a 48v motor with a 36v battery

Running the 48V motor at a lower voltage should not make a great difference to the efficiency of the motor but you will only produce 75% of the power and maximum rpm on 36V compared to 48V.

How fast is a 2000w ebike?

A typical 2000 watt e-bike with 48V battery will reach a max speed of 30 mph with high acceleration. If you up the output voltage to 72V, though, you may get around 43 mph.

How fast can a 2000w ebike go?

How fast does a 2000w electric bike go? A 2000w electric bike averages about 43 mph on flat terrain.

How fast does a 1000w electric bike go?

While it might not seem that fast when compared to driving, a 1000-watt e-bike equates to a speed of roughly 35mph . These powerful e-bikes are typically used for off-roading activities and rough terrain, as opposed to a routine commute.

How fast is 36v 500w ebike?

A 500w electric bike goes approximately 25 mph (40.23 km/h) on flat ground.

How long does a 36v battery last?

For example, a 36v 10ah battery pack with 360 wh of capacity. (36 volts times 10 amp hours equals 360 watt hours). This pack would in theory provide 36 km of range, or 22 miles , from a full 100% charge.

Can you charge a 48V battery with a 36v charger?

Generally speaking, yes, yes it will . No matter what kind of battery you're charging, if you hook up a 36v battery to a 48v charger and let it charge to completion, you're going to ruin your battery.

How fast does a 36 volt power wheel go?

How fast does a 36V Ride on go? As soon as the voltage increases, the age of kids also increases i.e., 36-volt power wheels are for bigger kids. A 36-volt power wheel usually runs at a speed of 15 miles per hour and more .

Can you run a 24 volt DC motor on 12 volts?

If you run a 12v motor from 24v its current drain and speed will still depend on the mechanical loading . However under no load it will now run at twice the speed at which it originally ran with 12v. Heating in the motor is still related to the current – so you can still run it at its full rated mechanical load/current.

Can you run a 24 volt motor on 12 volts?

Either go 12 volt or add another battery and run the rated 24 volt . It wont hurt your motor. Most newer ones will not even turn over because the circuit board senses less than 22 volts (dead 24v system). Old ones will turn over but you will have half power.

Can you put a 48 volt battery on a 36 volt e-bike?

Most 36V controllers will support a 48V pack , but the LVC will still be set for a 36V pack, so you'll need to monitor pack voltage and not let it get too low. You can verify this by opening the controller and checking the caps and fets. If it has 63V main caps it should be fine.

Can a 48V controller handle 36V battery?

Re: 36v motor with 48v controller

YES! I do IT currently! 33km/h in 36v regen -> 43km/h in 48v regen, no problem.

Can a 36V controller handle 48V?

usually the 48V conversion on a 36V controller will work but you can change the input power resistors too if needed.

Is 36V ebike enough?

If you weigh light, a 36V e-bike battery might be able to provide enough capacity to climb up . But one, you will feel more resistance, two, you will run out of battery more quickly, and three, you will strain the battery affecting its lifetime and efficiency.

How fast does a 750w e-bike go?

They're Fast

The first reason why you should take on a 750 watt bike is because it will be fast. Really fast. You can crank its speed at about 20 to 28 mph (32-45 kph) on dirty or rough terrain. On the contrary, you can get a speed of 30 to 35 mph (48-56 kph) on a flat or downhill road .

Can I make my ebike faster?

Fortunately for you, it is possible to increase your bike speed . The best way to increase the speed of your electric bike speed is to use a battery with a higher voltage or purchase a motor with a higher KV rating. You could also strip your bike of unnecessary parts to reduce drag.
