Can heartworm prevention make dogs sick?
Adverse reactions to these preventives are rare, but do occur
. Possible side effects may include vomiting, diarrhea, drooling, panting, and trembling. Some dogs can have an allergic reaction to these types of medications, similar to the reactions seen with ivermectin.
What if my dog throws up after taking Interceptor PLUS?
On rare occasions, pets may vomit after receiving heartworm medication. In these circumstances, the best option is to
try another dose in a few days, and/or give the dose with a small amount of food
