The social sciences are scientific
in the sense that we seek true knowledge of man and his society.
Human beings also have values and goals that give meaning to their lives and influence their behavior.
Social scientists are simply unable to cope with goals and values in any scientifically predictable way
. Nor can they use scientific method to determine which goals or values are better or worse.
Social science is a relatively new field of scientific study
that rose to prominence in the 20th century. Typical careers in social science include working as an advertiser, economist, psychologist, teacher, manager, and social worker.
Science (also known as pure, natural, or physical science) and social science are two types of science that deal with the same scientific model and the components of their own respective general laws. Science is more concerned with studying nature, while social science is concerned with human behavior and societies.
The beginning of Social Sciences as a field of study can be traced back to the 18

century.
Social scientists use scientific methods that resemble those used in natural sciences to understand the society
; however, social critique and interpretive methods are also used in social science.

concerns with the environment, health and the new genetics are creating a need for systematic links to be made between these disciplines

Thus, social science is important because

social sciences’ have been woefully subpar [1] compared to those of natural sciences
— in this case — biology and technical sciences.
