How do I book a flight with travel funds?
When booking a flight, you'll see an option to apply travel funds on the payment screen
. Each Passenger can use a total of three forms of payment per booking, and each travel fund counts as a form of payment.

travel funds can't be transferred to another person
(sorry, Mom). But Southwest LUV Vouchers can be used by anyone.
Can I convert Southwest travel funds to points?
In order to qualify for the points conversion,
your travel fund must expire on Sept. 7, 2022
. In addition, the name on the travel fund must match the name on the Rapid Rewards account.
Can you use travel funds to buy points?
If you've got $200 in travel funds, you can convert them to 15,625 points
, which are worth ~$234.38 in Southwest flights. That's a nice boost for very little effort. You can purchase Southwest flights and refund them in the form of travel funds by September 7, 2020, for your funds to qualify for conversion.

Held Funds –

Vouchers can be used by anyone
, unlike Travel Funds which are locked in the name of the original passenger. Be aware though that vouchers only cover the airfare portion, not any taxes or fees, which will have to be paid separately, with a credit card or travel funds.

You can only use three forms of payment, and those 3 don't cover the bill
. You can use 2, and pay the rest. Or use 2 or 3 for cheaper flight, and then cancel it to combine them into one new travel fund, and then use that.
