Hot Springs: Warm Lake Resort is the largest geothermal lake in Idaho. Warm Lake is 640 areas of water. The lake has a temperature of 72 degrees for the top meter in the summer.

Warm Lake Lodge is 26 miles East of Cascade, Idaho. Warm Lake is the largest natural lake in the Boise National Forest at an elevation of 5,300 feet above sea level, and it’s pristine location is picture perfect for any outdoor enthusiast.
Warm Lake is a unique fishery, home to rainbow trout, Kokanee and all three Idaho char species — brook, bull and Mackinaw trout . Rainbows are the most common catch, taking spinners, Rapalas, flies, worms and Power Bait. Brookies are common in shallower water around the lily pads.

The small city of Cascade sits right on Cascade Lake within the beautiful mountains. The area allows for so many outdoor activities such as kayaking, swimming, hiking, fishing, rafting, ATV trails, and mountain biking .
Directions. Travel north about 34 miles from Lowman on State Hwy 21, past Grandjean and over Banner Summit. Look for the Bull Trout Lake turnoff a few miles past the summit. The lake is about 1 mile north of Hwy 21 .
Hot Spring Tips: Trail Creek Hot Springs is open year round depending on the road conditions . Check road conditions for accessibility. The hot springs may be submerged due to spring runoff. You should never camp close to a hot springs.
Generally, the water in the lake will be warm enough for swimming in July . Lake Coeur d’Alene’s water temperatures in July tend to rest around a comfortable 70 °F. Depending on the weather, this can mean the temperature can be up to 73 °F or lower if it’s been a cool spring and summer so far.
According to the USGS measuring station at the outlet of Coeur d’ Alene Lake, the lake gets above 70 degrees at the beginning of July, peaks at about 75-76 degrees in the middle of August, then the temperature declines from then on . Priest and Pend Orielle lakes will likely be colder.

The West Mountains are a beautiful range located in one of the most senic portions of western Idaho . It forms the western boundary of Long Valley where the towns of Cascade, Donnelly, and McCall, Idaho are located.

Fishing is available in Bull Trout Lake, Martin Lake and two other lakes or nearby waterways for rainbow trout, cutthroat trout and brook trout . Check your fishing regulations for the different waters. Boating: is limited to non-motorized.
Bull trout prefer the clear, cool waters of Idaho’s central mountains . They are common in the Salmon River drainage and many of the small streams that crisscross Idaho’s rugged mountain terrain. They can also be found in select alpine lakes.
Bull trout are widespread in Idaho, mostly in rivers and streams, but they can also found in lakes and reservoirs . They are in most river drainages in central and northern Idaho that flow into the Snake and Columbia rivers. They’re most common in coldwater rivers, which in summer often means upper-elevation streams.
