Why is NEXUS cheaper than TSA PreCheck?
Advantages: NEXUS is more economical than Global Entry because
it only costs $50 per adult and children are FREE until they turn 18
. With Nexus you get all the benefits of Global Entry and TSA PreCheck. Disadvantages: There are only a few US enrollment centers where you can have a NEXUS interview.
Is it better to get NEXUS or Global Entry?
If you frequently travel between the US and Canada via land and/or air,
NEXUS will likely be the better choice
. It is cheaper and allows for expedited entry when crossing the border by car, something Global Entry doesn't yet offer.
Can I travel to Mexico with a Nexus card?
NEXUS cards are valid for RFID Ready Lanes at land crossings into the United States from Canada and Mexico
. Ready lanes do not exist in the opposite direction of crossing.
Is Nexus card same as Global Entry?
All NEXUS members use the Global Entry kiosks
. U.S. citizens and U.S. lawful permanent residents enrolled in SENTRI can use the Global Entry kiosks. Through FY 2015, the Global Entry kiosks have been used over 17 million times.
Can I fly with just my NEXUS Card and no passport?
If you do not have a passport,
you are still able to apply for a NEXUS Card, but you will only be able to use your NEXUS Card at land or marine crossings, not at the airport
. The most usual proof of identity if you do not have a valid passport is a valid Driver's License but you can use many a government-issued ID.

Why is my Global Entry not giving me TSA PreCheck?
First,
check that your membership has not expired
by looking up your account here. If still active, confirm with your airline that your KTN, name, and date of birth are accurate and that your airline participates in TSA PreCheck®.
How long do NEXUS cards last?
Your NEXUS Card is valid for
5 years from the next birthdate after your NEXUS interview
. So, technically, your NEXUS Card is usually valid slightly more than 5 years. The expiry date is listed on the front of your NEXUS Card. Your card remains valid even if your driver's license or passport expires.
Can I travel to us with NEXUS only?
Only the Global Entry kiosks located in U.S. preclearance areas at Canadian airports will accept a NEXUS card
. When entering the U.S. from other airports, you must use your passport to receive NEXUS privileges.
Can I use NEXUS when arriving from Europe?
NEXUS members using the air mode of transportation can enter Canada using the self-serve kiosks regardless of where they are coming from
. For example, a NEXUS member returning to Canada from overseas and arriving in Montréal can use the self-serve kiosk in Montréal.
Can you use NEXUS at Pearson?
NEXUS is a program for Canadian and American citizens that allows members to clear the border faster when travelling between the United States and Canada.
At Pearson, NEXUS holders have a separate, dedicated line at security and at US customs
