When is it safe to travel with a newborn baby by plane? In general, doctors recommend you wait to fly until your baby’s immune system is better developed. This could be as soon as one month for full-term infants, though most doctors recommend anywhere

. Just as if an adult was applying for a passport, babies must have Form DS-11 filled out and submitted.
Can you take a 6 week old baby abroad?
It ranges from a minimum of 2 days old to 2 weeks old.
Some doctors will encourage you to wait until baby is at least six weeks old
– babies are still developing their immune systems before this time and need time to adjust to their new surroundings, so it can be unwise to fly.
Can a 2 month old baby travel internationally?
Most airlines will allow you to travel with infants as young as 2 days old
. Other airlines require the infant to be at least 2 weeks old. Certain airlines may also require written approval from a doctor before allowing an infant less than 2 weeks old to fly.
