Your dishwasher will heat the water by itself but it's best to run the cold water out of the hot water line before you push start. The same way you take a shower, run the cold water out of the faucet first. Newer dishwashers take longer to run. They will heat water at the rate of one degree per minute.
Are all dishwashers cold fill only now?
All of our dishwashers require a cold fill connection only. If a hot water connection is used programmes will not run correctly and it may damage the appliance and void the warranty.

It is possible to connect the dishwasher to the hot water supply. The maximum recommended temperature is 60°C. If the hot water comes from alternative source of energy (e.g. solar panels), use the hot water supply to decrease energy consumption.
Do Bosch dishwashers heat their own water?
Yes, they do have a heating element in the bottom of the tub that will continue to heat the water up to approximately 140 – 145 degrees F, during the main wash and sometimes during the final rinse as well. In machines with a “sani-cycle” or sanitization cycle, the final rinse water will be heated even further.

It can vary anywhere from 130 to 150 degrees. The sensors work by measuring how clear the wash water is. If the clarity is satisfactory, sometimes the Bosch dishwasher forgoes additional rinse cycles to conserve energy.
Why is my dishwasher still wet inside?
If the vent does not open properly, the dishwasher will leave moisture on the dishes. Check the vent to ensure that it is functioning correctly. If the vent door is stuck in the closed position or doesn't open fully, it may need to be repaired or replaced. The vent may also come equipped with a fan motor.
Can you add a 3rd rack to dishwasher?
Some of our plastic tub dishwashers have an optional third rack that can be added to the dishwasher to hold silverware, cutlery, cooking utensils, and other flat or hard-to-place items.
