How does a rocket reenter Earth?
When an object — with blunt-shaped surface facing down — comes back to Earth, the
blunt shape creates a shock wave in front of the vehicle
. That shock wave keeps the heat at a distance from the object. At the same time, the blunt shape also slows the object’s fall [source: NASA].

, more than 670 million miles per hour, making them the fastest thing in the universe.
Whats the fastest we can travel in space?
But Einstein showed that the universe does, in fact, have a speed limit: the speed of light in a vacuum (that is, empty space). Nothing can travel faster than
