Recruit training, or “boot camp,” will be approximately seven weeks long.
The goal of this training is to transform you from a civilian into a Sailor with all of the skills necessary to perform in the fleet.
In many cases, you will receive this basic training at boot camp when you enter the Navy

How much does a sailor make in boot camp?
E-2 is $2,000.70 and E-3 is $2,103.90. The pay for E-4 through E-7 ranks increase as you go up, topping off a $3,207.60 per month. These pay rates are a 3.1 percent increase from last year; in 2020 for example, E-2s earned $1,943 per month. While in boot camp, a private can expect to earn

Do sailors get leave after a school?
After Navy A School,
sailors traditionally are given 10 days of leave
. After their 10 days of leave, they will check into their new unit at their first duty station. Sailors with overseas duty stations may receive more than 10 days of leave before having to report to their next unit.
Class “F” schools
provide team training to officer and enlisted fleet personnel who normally are members of ships’ companies
. They also provide refresher training, including operator and technical courses of short duration to meet the needs of a fleet or type commander.
Seaman recruit (SR)
is the lowest enlisted rank in the Navy, just below seaman apprentice.

. You’ll be glad to hear you’re at least getting paid to struggle through challenges that will shape you into a soldier. During the in-processing of Week Zero, the Army will establish your military pay records and scale.
The first three weeks of Navy Boot Camp are clearly the toughest (physically, and stressfully)
. Get through the first three weeks, and you’ll almost assuredly graduate. As with Army and Air Force Basic Training, during the first couple of weeks, you’ll find that no one can seem to do anything right.
Yes, it is possible to fail basic training
. You could go through the trouble of leaving your home, job, family and friends and come back a failure. In fact, this happens to about 15% of recruits who join the military every year. Too many recruits I speak to think that it is impossible to fail basic training.
The Navy offers a very few
two year and three year
contracts, where the recruit spends two or three years on active duty, followed by six years in the Active Reserves. The other services offer four, five, and six year enlistment options (The Air Force only offers four and six year enlistments).
You’ll get up at
5 a.m.
every single day. Waking up in the morning is an adjustment process that’s the same for every single basic training class. When you first arrive, the drill instructors require a lot of noise, yelling and jostling to get everyone out of the rack.
Navy boot camp lengthened to
10 weeks
to prepare recruits for life in the fleet. The Navy is adding more mentorship, life skills and personal and professional development to its boot camp curriculum as it expands recruit training to 10 weeks — up from eight.
U.S. Navy basic training is

. Also, recruits attend classes where they engage with relevant coursework and also receive practical training that allows hands-on experience and prepares them for real-life scenarios.

more indepth training for the chosen job she has
. All go to a school but c school specializes in say a mechanic working on a plane, well there is more than one type of plane/jet the Navy flies, so once he is at his command he would probably go to C school to train for a specific plane/jet he is working on.
Do you go home after boot camp?
Recruits leave for their technical school rather quickly after Navy boot camp
. However, some new sailors do have the liberty to go off base after the Pass-In-Review. However, graduating sailors are restricted in what they wear, how far they travel, and how they conduct themselves off-base.
Recruits are not permitted to have electronic devices of any kind — including cell phones — while they are stationed at RTC
