a criminal history involving a murder conviction and/or a crime that requires the individual to register as a sex offender
will automatically disqualify them from serving through CAC AmeriCorps.

Treat it like a cover letter. It's there to tell the person reading it who you are and why you are interested in doing Americorps (even better if you mention the specific program).

If the member does not secure reassignment within the prescribed opportunity period, the member is terminated from AmeriCorps VISTA service for lack of suitable assignment

Current limits on number of terms an individual can serve:
AmeriCorps NCCC- no limit on service terms
, but members may NOT serve more than two consecutive NCCC terms without a break of at least 10 months before serving again. AmeriCorps State and National- four terms.
How much is the AmeriCorps living allowance?
Member Living Allowance:
First Year Member- $16,000, Second Year Member- $17,000
. AmeriCorps members that successfully complete a Full-time 1700 hour service term approved through FY 2021 AmeriCorps earn a $6,345 Segal Educational Award and a $3,655 California For All Educational Award (CFA) (for a total of $10,000).
