Many have been concerned over the risks COVID-19 could impose, as numbers continue to spike in West Virginia

How was New River Gorge Bridge built?
Construction began in 1974 when
temporary towers were built on each end of the gorge and cables were strung between them
. From these cables, trolleys ran lengths of steel over the gorge, where workers carefully assembled them together. It took three years and $37 million, but in 1977 the bridge was complete.
