Iron Banner tokens are
rewarded for playing matches, and can then be exchanged to level up Lord Saladin’s rank
, obtaining rewards with each of them. You will have time until the end of the season to complete bounties and get new gear.
Every 20 Tokens you turn in with Lord Saladin will reward an Iron Banner engram, which contains randomly rolled weapons
. After you’ve finished the seasonal quest, you can also receive randomly rolled armor. Loot: The Skulking Wolf trait will be on all six weapons in the Iron Banner pool this season.

. It’s its own thing.
Competitive matches will display “Rank: Glory” on the card and the text for them starts with “Fight for Glory.” Normal activities won’t show any rank. In addition,
neither Iron Banner nor Trials of Osiris count as Competitive modes
since they don’t award Glory at all.
Gafner tells Destiny 2 players that he recommends they turn in their Iron Banner tokens as they earn them. If not,
they should make sure to spend them all before the end of Season of the Risen
. And by all tokens, Gafner means spend all of them, otherwise they’ll be lost.

Do Iron Banner tokens expire?
Event Conclusion:
At the end of an Iron Banner event, Iron Banner bounties will expire
. Players can keep these in their inventory until the next Season where they will be removed. Players who choose to not turn in their Iron Banner tokens to Lord Saladin will be able to keep their tokens for the next Iron Banner event.

The weapons are not dropping after matches, bounties, or — worst of all — token turn-ins
. Unlike some other currencies in Destiny 2, Iron Banner tokens don’t expire between seasons. This means that players could theoretically save up tokens for the next time Lord Saladin brings something new.

. You’ll get it as part of your Reputation Rewards for ranking up and it could even drop from an Engram. It’s pretty random, so the more you play the better your chances of getting it.
How old is Lord Saladin?
The iron lords disapeared roughly 400 years ago, and we know saladin would have been arround before that so at the verry least he would be
around 400 years old
(assuming he got res’d and immediatly joined the iron lords).
Can you get Riiswalker from tokens?
You can get Riiswalker by completing the third step of the Iron Banner quest, completing Iron Banner matches, or
turning in Iron Banner tokens for packages
. Remember, tokens cannot be turned into Saladin until you finish the entire Iron Banner quest.
