Hi. Fork boots don’t seal in moisture. They’re intended to keep debris away from the wipers to extend the life of the fork.

Most forks these days don’t require boots because the wipers do their job appropriately.

How do I know if my bike is fork compatible?

the steerer size

. Most Mtb headtube is 1.1/8′′, a few are 1.5′′ or the combo of the two, tapered steerer. So as long as the fork is 1.1/8′′ you are good to go.
