How do I turn on notifications in canvas?
- On the homepage for the course, click on the View Course Notifications button as shown in the image below.
- This will bring up the Notification settings screen.
- Click on the Enable Notifications button to toggle the Notifications on and off.

What is the canvas inbox?
The Inbox is

How do I organize my canvas inbox?
To go to your inbox,
click on the inbox tab from the personal menu
in the upper right corner of Canvas. Conversations is split into two panels and displays messages chronologically. You can view and reply to conversations and sort them by course or inbox type.
Does Canvas inbox go to email?

- Users display in conversations once they have an active enrollment in the course, and users cannot join a course unless it is published.

- Click on Courses in the left navigation. A list of your courses will appear in a drop-down menu.
- Select All Courses to show all your current, future, and past enrollments.
- Select the name of the course that you would like to enter.

Each item in the module has a note about what the student must do and the circle icons on the right display whether that item has been completed or not.
