Travel funds from Southwest can be used to book any available cash flight or to pay for the taxes and fees on award flights. They are treated like cash and can be used to pay for some or all of the amount owed.

If you don’t use all of the travel funds for the reservation, any remaining balance remains for future use

Can I convert Southwest travel funds to points?

In order to qualify for the points conversion,

your travel fund must expire on Sept. 7, 2022

you are allowed to use travel funds from multiple confirmation numbers at the same time

How do I extend my Southwest travel funds?

Southwest never extends the expiration date of travel funds. Your best bet is to

wait until they expire and then call Customer Relations and ask for them to be reissued as a LUV Voucher
