South Parking Lot
. The stairs spit you out at the highest point of the park, above the historic yellow houses and near the Chapel. Meandering paths along the grasses and trees weave you through different colors and textures before coming out onto the bluff.
Can you bike across Ballard Locks?
Gates will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Because crossing the Ballard Bridge is such an awful experience on foot or bike, the walkways across the Locks have long been a popular and useful option for people trying to get to the other side of the Ship Canal without going all the way to Fremont.
