It'll last years if you don't do alot of leadcore trolling. We had the same leadcore on our lines for
about two years
. The lead and the dacron sheath kind of fused together so the dacron sheath would not peel back anymore. What we did to solve this was to pull the leadcore off the reel and lay it out in the yard.
