Does Flying Traumatize Dogs? Does flying traumatize dogs? Our results suggest that both road and air transport are stressful for dogs, at least for animals who are not used to travel. Sedation with acepromazine, at the dosage used, did not significantly affect the stress reaction during air transport. Will my dog be traumatized after flying?
