Is Scientific Knowledge Intuitive? All replies (37) Intuition does exist, either it is considered scientific, or artistic. Scientific intuition is an oxymoron because science is by definition not based on hunch or gut feeling. However scientific intuition does exist because science is advanced based on imagination. What is the role of intuition in scientific knowledge?
