What element has 60 neutrons?
Silver
is the second element in the eleventh column of the periodic table. It is classified as a transitional metal. Silver atoms have 47 electrons and 47 protons with 60 neutrons in the most abundant isotope.
What has an atomic number of 60?
Neodymium
is a chemical element with symbol Nd and atomic number 60. Classified as a lanthanide, Neodymium is a solid at room temperature.
What is the neutron of nickel?
A typical nickel atom has 28 electrons (negative charges) surrounding a nucleus of 28 protons (positively charged nucleons) and
30 neutrons
(neutral nucleons).
How many neutrons are in cobalt?
It is classified as a transition metal. Cobalt atoms have 27 electrons and 27 protons with
32 neutrons
in the most abundant isotope.

WHO DISCOVERED COBALT? Cobalt was discovered by
Georg Brandt
, a Swedish chemist, in 1735. Brandt was attempting to prove that the ability of certain minerals to color glass blue was due to an unknown element and not to bismuth, as was commonly believed at the time.
Cobalt is a lustrous very hard silvery metal belonging to a group called the “
transition metals
“. It is one of only 3 ferromagnetic transition elements along with iron and nickel.
Hydrogen has
no neutron
, deuterium has one, and tritium has two neutrons. The isotopes of hydrogen have, respectively, mass numbers of one, two, and three. Their nuclear symbols are therefore
1
H,
2
H, and
3
H. The atoms of these isotopes have one electron to balance the charge of the one proton.

All copper atoms have atomic number 29: all their nuclei contain 29 protons. But they also contain uncharged particles called neutrons. In natural copper, the atoms are of two kinds. One has 29 protons and 34 neutrons in the nucleus; the other has 29 protons and
36 neutrons
(Figure 4).

According to the Agency of Toxic Substances and Disease Registry,
chocolate is one of the foods that have the highest nickel and cobalt content
. These alloys are added during the refining process and in constant contact with stainless steel machinery.
Cobalt blue is a blue pigment made by
sintering cobalt(II) oxide with aluminum(III) oxide (alumina) at 1200 °C
. Chemically, cobalt blue pigment is cobalt(II) oxide-aluminium oxide, or cobalt(II) aluminate, CoAl

The most common stable isotope of
Selenium
has 45 neutrons in its nucleus giving it an atomic mass of 79. Selenium is in Period 4 of the Periodic Table because it has 4 electron shells.
About the Display:
Promethium
is a radioactive element, therefore, the box contains items that represent the element and the Greek god Prometheus, for whom the element is named after. Prometheus was known to be an intelligent trickster who stole fire from Zeus to give to mortals, resulting in his subsequent punishment.
