How do you climb Ben Lomond?
To climb Ben Lomond, head to Rowardennan on the east side of Loch Lomond. Access Rowardennan by car (there are no busses) via an 11-mile dead-end road from the village of Drymen. Cruise Loch Lomond run twice daily sailings by their water bus from Tarbet on the west side of Loch Lomond.
Which is harder Ben Lomond or Roys Peak?
The only catch to Roy’s is that you are completely exposed to the sun with zero shade and the climb is relentless, you’re looking at 2.5 hours (approx!) of solid uphill walking and coming down gets a bit hard on your knees.
