The metal plate is first polished to remove all scratches and imperfections from the surface so that only the intentional lines will be printed.

Do you need to seal permanent vinyl on tumblers?
I do not seal my vinyl on tumblers. Most vinyl manufacturers actually recommend that you don’t apply a sealer over the vinyl . The exception to this would be if you want to go through the process of sealing your tumbler with epoxy. This is usually done with glitter tumblers.

Use the paintbrush to spread on a thick layer of Mod Podge Photo Transfer Medium on the image side of the paper. It should be even and entirely cover the image.
