. You can get them in a bunch of different shapes and even cut your own shapes with the proper tools. I like the basic bone, heart, and circle, it makes adding an engraving pretty easy.

Is Cricut maker worth the extra money?
The nickel-and-diming is a lot if you’re just a hobby crafter, and you’re going to end up spending a lot more if you don’t have the skills to build your own designs in Design Space. However,
if you sell your crafts on Etsy or elsewhere, I do think a Cricut could be a good investment
.
If you want to add contact information, add the info to a piece of transparency film and cut it out. Place it down face-up on the back of the tag and cover it with a small amount of resin (2.5-5 ml). Pop any bubbles and let the resin cure for 24 hours.
How thick can the Cricut maker engrave?

Note that the official limit is
2.4 mm
but we were still able to fit this in our Maker. That said, not all “3 mm” acrylic is actually 3 mm—it may be a little thicker. So your mileage may vary. For best results, use 2 mm (1/16th of an inch) or less.

What kind of leather is used for dog collars?
Full grain leather
(2 grades higher than the more commonly used: genuine leather). You can either get: Natural Cowhide Leather strips. Veg-tan leather hide.
To silence your dog’s tags,
put rubber silencers around the outside of the tags if they’re made of metal
. You can also try putting some felt on the back of the tags to create a buffer. Alternatively, buy a small pouch made specially for holding the tags from your local pet stores.
If your dog has a single-thickness collar with metal buckles, a slide-on tag is a great option.
It won’t get caught on anything
