Can you clean transition lenses with alcohol?

On our own eyeglasses and sunglasses,

we use a solution of 70% isopropyl alcohol (aka: rubbing alcohol) diluted with some water and a couple drops of clear dishwashing liquid soap

. This is the same solution many lens labs use. Spray the solution onto the lenses and frames, buff dry with a clean microfiber cloth.
